My Background

Meet Dean  Founder of D4 Fitness

​Around 13 years ago, my life looked very different. At my heaviest, I weighed over 23 stone and was advised by my doctor to make changes for my health. That moment became the turning point that started my journey into fitness not as a career, but as a way to take control of my life.

Through training, consistency, and learning how to move better and fuel my body properly, I went on to lose over 10 stone and discovered a passion for challenging myself in ways I never thought possible.


Since then, I’ve completed challenges such as the Inca Trail in Peru, the National Three Peaks in 22 hours 27 minutes, a half marathon, and the Great South Run  and I’m always looking for the next challenge to push myself further.

Over the last 12 years, that personal journey turned into a professional one. I trained as a Personal Trainer, studied nutrition, and continue to update my knowledge every few years through further qualifications and education. My goal has always been simple: to use what I’ve learned to help others change their lives, just as I changed mine.

I truly believe that even 30 minutes of movement whether it’s a walk or a tough weights session  can bring you closer to your goals. Fitness isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being more active today than you were yesterday.

That belief is what created D4 Fitness and the Four Pillars approach:
Fitness, Nutrition, Recovery, and Wellbeing.
